AON Builders has been serving the Peterborough area since 1983 when it was founded by Ross A. Smith, President and C.E.O of AON Inc.

Over the course of these 24 years AON Builders has accumulated a knowledgeable and skilled team of professionals who consistently deliver completed projects on budget and on schedule - and always with the quality that you have come to expect from AON Inc. Our broad background and experience in all phases of construction makes AON Builders a uniquely full service construction company that can meet all of our clients' varied needs.

Over the years we have completed a wide variety of projects ranging from new commercial and residential construction to extensive remodeling and renovation of commercial and residential spaces. We have also constructed and renovated three of the finest retirement facilities in Central Ontario – The Gardens of Peterborough.

Projects of note in the Peterborough area have included the construction of the Parking Garage on King Street, the conversion of the historic former Post Office Building on Charlotte Street into residential apartments, Summit Village and River Park Village Condominiums to name but a few.

The ability to understand a projects vision, coordinate subcontractors, material suppliers and equipment installation, along with scheduling, budgeting and quality control has been the key to our success. We also understand that as a local company our best and most reliable resources are our local business partners and we endeavour whenever possible to support regional trades and suppliers.

Since the inception of AON Builders, we have operated with the core principle that we are creating more than just buildings—we are creating long term relationships in our community and with our clients.

We believe that our commitment to excellence in every detail brings a vision to reality. We have built our reputation on these standards.
