An individual Care plan is determined for each of our residents by our multi-disciplinary Care team. Incorporating resident needs and desires, these plans include Medical Care, Fitness and Wellness, Nutritional Care and Social and Spiritual Care. A Comprehensive Approach to Care At The Gardens of Peterborough, Medical Care is provided by registered nursing staff who are on-site around the clock, and who take the worry out of everyday living. With state-of-the-art emergency response systems in each suite, assistance is always just around the corner. Doctor's clinics are held on-site, and our air-conditioned bus makes scheduled trips to local doctors' offices. For special care needs we offer our Assisted Living program which
offers supplementary Enriched Care for those who require a helping hand with daily living activities. We provide assistance in medication administration, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and oxygen therapy. Pharmacy services are also provided on-site. Nutritional Care at The Gardens is provided by trained dietary staff who ensure that delicious, well-balanced meals keep our residents healthy and energized. Fitness & Wellness programs maintain and enhance the well being and independence of
our residents. We provide special clinics and a variety of fitness and activation programs developed by certified Gardens of Peterborough staff. At The Gardens, enhancing overall wellness includes ensuring that our residents' Social and Spiritual Care needs are met. Our full-time Activity Directors plan frequent outings and regular activities to provide residents with the mental and social stimulation they require to stay happy and fulfilled. Families are encouraged to join in and become part of our communities. Spiritual needs are accommodated in our on-site chapels, in which regularly scheduled services are conducted by local clergy. Short Term Visits Our unmatched care services are available whether you choose to call our communities home on a permanent basis, or come for a short visit and try us out, whether you visit us for a short period or to provide a little help at special times. This includes both Convalescence Care for those recovering from hospital procedures and Respite Care for loved ones whose caregivers require a little break from the stresses of growing responsibilities.
